CYBERSPACE + IMAGE ECONOMY

We live in a world flooded with images. Using our phones and laptops we click, swipe and scroll, generating an unprecedented amount of data that trails behind us like a shadow. This course will investigate how technology is revolutionizing representations of ‘reality’ and how we consume, share and contribute to the digital landscape that permeates our screens. This course will introduce students to a selection of artists that explore the intersection of photography and technology.  And we will explore how our own practices responds to a world saturated by computer generated images, surveillance and screens.
