ACTT 455/A (Fall, 2023): VOICE FOR THE STAGE IV
In this class, we will focus on the how accents and dialects can add to character development and creation. We will review/learn the phonetic alphabet and how it can help with accent work. We will dive into what have become standard accents, and take a look at accents in our heritage. We will learn how to be a detective, perceive, and implement accents into scene and monologue work, as well as how to create an accent after this class and beyond.
