CATA 462/01 (Fall, 2023): ADVANCED EMERGENCY CARE
INTRODUCTION
This course will prepare the student to respond safely and effectively to traumatic and medical emergencies in the sports milieu. Students will be provided the latest updates and standards as they apply to amateur and professional sport interventions.
OBJECTIVES
Through participation in this course, each student will develop knowledge, skills, and competencies relative to the following: preparing to respond, establishing priorities of care, traumatic injury assessment and management, care for medical emergencies, care for special populations and situations.
